Patient Rights at Belizza Health
At Belizza Health, we are committed to protecting the dignity, privacy, safety, and autonomy of every patient. All our practices align with international medical ethics and patient rights frameworks, including those outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Charter of Patients’ Rights, and the Turkish Ministry of Health.

Below are the rights that every patient is entitled to during their journey with us:
1. Right to Respect and Dignity
Every patient has the right to be treated with respect, kindness, and without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, language, religion, beliefs, or personal preferences.
2. Right to Information
Patients have the right to receive clear, understandable, and accurate information about their diagnosis, treatment options, risks, potential outcomes, and estimated costs — before consenting to any procedure.
3. Right to Informed Consent
No medical procedure will be performed without your voluntary and informed consent. Patients have the right to ask questions, refuse treatment, or request second opinions before proceeding.
4. Right to Privacy and Confidentiality
All personal and medical information shared with Belizza Health is kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with third parties without the patient’s explicit consent, except when legally required.
5. Right to Safe and Qualified Care
Patients have the right to receive medical treatment in accredited hospitals by licensed professionals with adequate qualifications and experience.
6. Right to Support and Assistance
Patients are entitled to emotional and psychological support throughout their treatment process. Our coordinators and medical team are always available to answer questions and assist during your stay.
7. Right to Follow-Up Care
Every patient has the right to continuous follow-up after surgery, including access to postoperative care, consultations, and clear instructions for aftercare, both in Turkiye and upon returning home.
8. Right to Complain and Receive Feedback
9. Right to Refuse or Withdraw from Treatment
Patients may refuse treatment or stop a procedure at any point, after being informed of the possible consequences. This decision will be respected by all our staff.
10. Right to Be Accompanied
Patients have the right to be accompanied by a relative or companion, particularly during major decisions and recovery, unless medically contraindicated.
Our Commitment
We are here not only to deliver exceptional medical results but also to ensure that your rights are upheld and your voice is heard — every step of the way.
Patient Responsibilities at Belizza Health
While we are committed to providing the highest quality care, successful treatment is a shared responsibility between the medical team and the patient. At Belizza Health, we expect our patients to actively participate in their own healing journey by fulfilling the responsibilities below:
1. Providing Accurate Health Information
Patients are responsible for sharing complete and truthful information about their medical history, current conditions, allergies, previous surgeries, and medications.
2. Following Medical Advice
Patients should carefully follow the instructions provided by their surgeon and medical team, including medication use, aftercare protocols, and activity restrictions.
3. Respecting Appointments and Communication
It is the patient’s responsibility to attend scheduled consultations and video calls, and to inform Belizza Health in advance in case of cancellations or delays.
4. Medication Compliance
Patients must use their prescribed medications as instructed and notify the team in case of any side effects, missed doses, or medication-related concerns.
5. Respecting Medical Staff and Other Patients
Patients are expected to treat all staff and fellow patients with respect and courtesy, regardless of nationality, language, or background.
6. Financial Responsibility
Patients are responsible for making timely payments for the agreed services and understanding the scope of what is included in their treatment package.
7. Following Postoperative Care Instructions
Proper aftercare is critical. Patients are expected to attend all follow-up calls, follow wound care and massage protocols, and report any complications without delay.
8. Avoiding Risky Behavior
Patients must avoid activities or behaviors that could harm their recovery, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, or strenuous exercise against medical advice.
9. Being Informed and Asking Questions
Patients are encouraged to ask questions if they don’t understand a part of their treatment plan. It’s the patient’s right — and responsibility — to seek clarity.
10. Emergency Contact
In case of unusual symptoms or complications, patients must promptly contact Belizza Health via the 24/7 WhatsApp support group or their assigned coordinator.
